Retention is Excellent. You can Climb, jump, lay down, crawl, roll around and the Lighter will not fall out. This system is perfect For Bikers and Hikers! Retention holds lighter deep in the sheath and Lockup is solid. 

Remove Zippo by pushing up from bottom to unlock the lighter.
